Senior Electrical Engineer IV - Communications

About the role

Senior Electrical Engineer IV will design circuitry for communications and power‑management products, leading projects from concept through production and providing technical resolution for field issues. The role requires independent work and mentorship of junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive full product development lifecycle: concept, design, bring‑up, integration, testing, validation and customer support.
• Create technical specifications, select components, generate schematics in Altium and guide PCB routing for high‑speed, EMC‑compliant designs.
• Lead electrical bring‑up, debug, performance, reliability and EMC testing, and conduct field failure analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (sales, quality, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing) and participate in design reviews and DFMEAs.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a BSEE and at least 10 years of concept‑through‑production product development experience.
• Proven ability to design digital, analog and audio circuits, work with microprocessor interfaces and sensor/audio integration.
• Experience with battery‑powered portable electronics, power‑supply design and EMC/ESD compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills, able to work independently and lead projects.

Required skills

• Electronic circuit design of digital, analog and audio circuits.
• Microprocessor peripheral interfaces: SDIO, I2C, SPI, RS232, UART, JTAG.
• Sensor selection (GPS, accelerometer, IMU) and audio interface design.
• Bluetooth, USB and other connectivity protocols.
• Battery charging circuits and power‑management design.
• Altium CAD (schematic and PCB layout).
• EMC and ESD mitigation techniques.
