Senior Director, Procurement

About the role

Chipotle is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement to lead sourcing strategy for its beef, pork, dairy, and commissary categories across North America. You will be responsible for driving cost efficiency, supply continuity, and innovation while upholding the company’s Food With Integrity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute end‑to‑end sourcing strategies, including pricing models, supplier portfolio design, and capacity expansion.
• Build deep market intelligence to anticipate commodity trends and inform business decisions.
• Lead sourcing for new menu items and limited‑time offerings.
• Identify margin improvement opportunities through strategic negotiations and value‑chain optimization.
• Manage Food With Integrity auditors and ensure program compliance.
• Establish executive‑level relationships with strategic suppliers and drive performance across cost, quality, service, and innovation.
• Proactively identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Partner with Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to align sourcing with business objectives.
• Support S&OP processes and enable data‑driven decision‑making.
• Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing procurement organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain.
• 8+ years of leadership experience building and developing teams.
• Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, pricing, negotiations and supplier management.
