Senior Director, PR & Communications

About the role

The Senior Director, PR & Communications will shape and execute the communications strategy for the Alexander Wang brand, positioning it at the intersection of fashion and culture. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this leader will own the full lifecycle of brand storytelling, from narrative development to earned‑media activations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a communications strategy that positions Alexander Wang within contemporary fashion and cultural discourse.
• Own brand narrative across seasons in partnership with Marketing and Design leadership.
• Maintain and grow direct relationships with key editors and journalists at tier‑one fashion, culture, and lifestyle publications.
• Lead press campaigns, media pitching, press‑release creation, and executive positioning.
• Oversee press‑agency relationships and manage media‑coverage reporting to leadership.
• Design and execute fashion‑show logistics, brand activations, experiential events, and strategic sponsorships to generate earned media.
• Manage editorial loans, sample distribution, and development of press collateral such as lookbooks and kits.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading communications or PR for a fashion, luxury, or lifestyle brand.
• Demonstrated ability to translate product and brand vision into compelling media stories.
• Strong network of editorial contacts across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
• Experience managing agency partners and coordinating large‑scale events or fashion shows.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to identify cultural moments that amplify brand relevance.
