Senior Director of Construction

About the role

The Senior Director of Construction leads all phases of high‑end residential renovation and new‑build projects across a geographically diverse portfolio. Reporting to executive leadership, the role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on field involvement and may be performed remotely from any East Coast location.

Key responsibilities

• Direct project planning, scheduling, and execution for multiple residential renovation and construction initiatives.
• Manage contractor selection, negotiation, and performance to ensure quality, safety, and budget compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including design, finance, and property management, to align projects with long‑term asset strategy.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models for each project.
• Oversee contract administration, change orders, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction, real‑estate development, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, business, real‑estate, or a related discipline.
• Extensive hands‑on field experience with high‑end residential projects, both renovations and new builds.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.
