Senior Director, Global Corporate Controller

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Director, Global Corporate Controller to lead core controllership functions for a fast‑growing commercial real estate services organization. Based in New York City, this role partners closely with the Chief Accounting Officer to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of global financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global month‑end close and consolidation across all entities, delivering timely and accurate financial statements.
• Own close governance, including calendars, controls, and technology to drive consistency and transparency.
• Ensure consistent application of US GAAP, with focus on revenue and expense recognition, and oversee complex accounting matters.
• Partner with FP&A to align close results, analytics, and internal reporting for senior leadership.
• Serve as accounting lead for M&A activities, handling purchase accounting, valuation, and integration of acquired entities.
• Oversee accounts payable, identify control improvements, and support finance automation and transformation initiatives.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards from SEC, FASB, PCAOB and advise the CAO on compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate controllership within a fast‑growing, complex organization.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and financial reporting for multinational entities.
• Proven track record leading month‑end close, consolidation, and finance transformation projects.
• Strong partnership skills with FP&A, M&A, and senior leadership.
• Experience managing accounts payable and driving process automation.
