Senior Developer Experience Engineer

About the role

Savvy is hiring its first dedicated Developer Experience Engineer to own the interaction between engineers and AI coding agents. You will shape the tooling, workflows, and environment that enable developers to ship high‑quality software efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for developer and agent experience, covering code navigation, testing, review, and delivery.
• Build the cloud‑based developer layer, handling task intake, environment setup, permissions, observability, and deployment.
• Improve agent output by redesigning repository structures, documentation, and feedback loops.
• Enhance CI speed, reliability, local setup, testing, debugging, and deployment workflows.
• Measure impact using developer satisfaction data, DORA/SPACE metrics, and task‑level agent evaluations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience using coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, with a proven ability to decompose tasks and manage context.
• Track record building developer tooling or platforms adopted by multiple teams.
• Demonstrated improvements to CI, testing, or repository workflows in large, long‑lived codebases.
• Strong product judgment: can interview engineers, identify root causes, and prioritize roadmap items.
• Ability to influence cross‑team standards without becoming a gatekeeper.
