Senior Developer Advocate

About the role

At Sanity.io we’re building the future of AI‑powered Content Operations. As a Senior Developer Advocate you will be the public face of Sanity in developer communities, both online and in‑person, creating trust and encouraging developers to build with our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Ship developer‑focused content such as blog posts, use cases, demos, and videos that showcase AI‑first workflows.
• Build AI‑first workflows, skills, and plug‑ins that help the Developer Community team work ten times faster.
• Maintain Sanity’s presence across Discord, X, GitHub, Reddit, conferences, meet‑ups and other community venues.
• Travel 20‑30 % of the time to attend conferences, meet‑ups and community events.

Required profile

• Based in the US or UK.
• 3+ years in developer relations or community roles at a developer‑tools company, or 2+ years in an AI engineering role.
• Hands‑on coder who can write code, ship demos and speak credibly with developers.
• Active user of AI coding tools and able to discuss AI‑assisted development authentically.
• Deep understanding of modern web development and how AI is transforming it.
• Experience growing healthy developer communities and distinguishing them from performative ones.
• Strong public speaker comfortable on stage, in workshops and hallway conversations.
• Organised enough to run multiple programs simultaneously while recognising contributors.
