Senior Designer and Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level Designer and Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end store design programs for a luxury beauty brand. The role sits at the intersection of creative execution and rigorous project management, working closely with the store design team and senior stakeholders in a hybrid setting (3 days onsite in mid‑town Manhattan).

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery of complex, multi‑stream store design projects from brief to completion, managing scope, timelines, budgets and quality.
• Translate strategic business objectives into actionable roadmaps and proactively mitigate risks.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date view of the design portfolio and communicate status to leaders.
• Lead cross‑functional alignment with designers, brand managers, vendors, finance and retail partners.
• Produce high‑impact presentation materials, program recaps and executive updates.
• Apply retail design principles, brand rollout methodology and prototyping to guide creative output.
• Ensure creative intent is preserved throughout concept, development and in‑store execution.
• Engage with design deliverables and vendor documentation using Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and AutoCAD.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience delivering large‑scale design programs in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments.
• Proven ability to balance creative vision with operational feasibility.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience optimizing workflows, orchestrating brand rollouts and managing vendor ecosystems.
