Senior Data Specialist

About the role

The Senior Data Specialist is the primary analytics expert for the Internal Support, Payments and SASTeC (ISPS) Division. Working independently, you will shape data strategy, ensure data integrity, and deliver enterprise‑wide analytical solutions that influence division‑level decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) as the division’s data analytics administrator.
• Design and configure enterprise‑level data integration frameworks, set division‑wide standards, and lead root‑cause analysis for critical system issues.
• Create, maintain, and evolve dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Tableau, Power BI (Python/DAX), Power Platform and Excel.
• Conduct regular data‑quality assessments to verify accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Consult with stakeholders and senior leadership to gather requirements, define key metrics and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
• Develop documentation and best‑practice guides for data products and processes.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for the division, evaluate emerging technologies and serve as liaison for enterprise data initiatives.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance to the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior data analyst or specialist, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical audiences.
