Senior Data Scientist – Auto Insurance Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Auto Insurance Rating Analytics team at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. In this role you will drive new product innovation, develop predictive models, and translate data insights into actionable business solutions for the insurance market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and model operational, economic, and management data to quantify competitive performance and evaluate potential operational changes.
• Generate actionable insights and innovative strategies by applying statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling techniques to large‑scale data sets.
• Collaborate with vertical and product teams to design and implement cutting‑edge analytics solutions.
• Support the development and training of junior staff and occasionally lead small project teams.
• Document best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of modeling methodologies.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in statistics, modeling, and machine learning with the ability to work independently on complex projects.
• Experience delivering data‑driven solutions in the insurance or risk‑management domain.
• Self‑sufficient in executing basic methods and capable of advancing to sophisticated approaches.
• Ability to provide informal guidance to junior colleagues and occasionally lead small teams.
