Senior Data Platform Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer at SentiLink, you will own and evolve the data infrastructure that powers the company’s fraud‑detection suite. Working remotely from anywhere in the United States, you will partner with product, engineering and data‑science teams to build scalable pipelines, storage layers and observability frameworks that deliver accurate identity data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines and a secure, scalable data platform.
• Maintain a data‑observability framework to guarantee data quality and freshness.
• Optimise storage layers and create fast, scalable interfaces to PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redshift and other stores.
• Collaborate with product squads to meet data‑platform needs for new and existing fraud‑detection products.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for production incidents and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive innovation through hackathons, proofs‑of‑concept and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software or data‑engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Golang.
• Hands‑on experience building large‑scale ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, Kafka or similar.
• Proficiency with public‑cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and AWS services such as RDS, Redshift, EMR, Lambda.
• Deep knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL/columnar stores (OpenSearch, vector DBs, Redshift).
• Experience containerising services on Kubernetes and using Infrastructure‑as‑Code/dev‑ops practices.
• Ability to work independently in an Agile/Scrum environment.
