Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Systematic Trading Technology team. You will work closely with traders, quants, business analysts and global technology partners to design and deliver scalable, cloud‑native trading solutions that support the firm’s investment strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop software that enhances investment decision‑making and streamlines the trade life‑cycle.
• Implement and maintain cloud‑native architectures that support high‑performance trading workflows.
• Participate in agile development cycles, including code reviews, test case design, and continuous integration.
• Model and analyse trading data to provide actionable insights for traders and quantitative researchers.
• Build and integrate applications and interfaces that enable rapid prototyping of new trading ideas.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a data engineer or senior software engineer in a financial or trading environment.
• Strong ability to work in an agile, collaborative team setting.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for delivering high‑quality, production‑ready code.
