Senior Data Engineer – Advanced Visual Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to develop and deliver advanced visual analytics applications for mission‑critical intelligence operations in Huntsville, AL. The role involves transforming structured and semi‑structured data streams into actionable intelligence using open‑source, COTS and GOTS technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver desktop and web‑based visual analytics applications.
• Create data analytics solutions for bulk analysis of relational and semi‑structured data.
• Apply advanced graphics, data visualization, and high‑performance computing to support intelligence workflows.
• Define enterprise database strategies, standards, and security policies.
• Construct and maintain large‑scale relational databases and integrate new systems with existing data warehouses.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering and mission teams.
• Leverage open‑source, COTS, and GOTS tools to meet program and government requirements.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 8+ years of data engineering, database design, and analytics development experience.
• Senior‑level experience with ETL processes, Informatica, and Linux environments.
• Proven experience handling structured and semi‑structured data sources.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise‑scale database and data‑warehouse systems.
