Senior Data Architect / Lead Data Architect

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking a Senior Data Architect or Lead Data Architect to drive the design and modernization of critical data analytics assets. This position will guide the transition from legacy on‑premises systems to cloud‑native solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and scalability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Select design patterns, technologies, and solution architectures for product development projects based on business and technical requirements.
• Act as a trusted consultant to business units, identifying gaps, presenting solution options, and documenting architectural decisions.
• Champion strategic enterprise solutions and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
• Refine and support a portfolio‑wide data optimization strategy to align existing assets with a cloud‑native architecture.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, from ideation to production support.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend architecture investments that reduce cost, improve security, and increase system flexibility.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing data architectures for large‑scale, mission‑critical environments.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and scalability considerations.
