Senior Corporate Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Corporate Financial Controller to lead and oversee all accounting, finance, and corporate functions. The role sits on the leadership team, partnering with executives to drive financial decision‑making and business performance while managing a team of about ten professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, and accounts payable.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a finance team of ~10 members.
• Provide strategic direction to the FP&A function and supervise the FP&A Manager.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and liquidity planning.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes.
• Partner with executive leadership to deliver financial insights for strategic initiatives.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other third‑party partners.
• Lead process‑improvement, automation, and operational‑efficiency projects.
• Support special projects, acquisitions, investments, and other strategic business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required or strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Prior leadership experience as a Controller, Senior Controller, VP Finance, or similar role.
• Strong background in corporate and operational accounting within privately held companies, family offices, or entrepreneurial environments.
• Public‑accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or national firm, is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced setting.

What we offer

• Target base salary $200,000–$240,000 per year.
• Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in Manhattan).
