Senior Controls Integration Engineer – Worldwide Design & Engineering

About the role

WWDE is seeking a Senior Controls Integration Engineer to join its global team and deliver next‑generation fulfillment systems. You will act as the technical bridge between fulfillment center operations, advanced engineering teams, and external suppliers, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain control specification documents for system deployments.
• Integrate control‑system products, collaborate with suppliers and customers, and lead commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose PLCs, own testing and validation tasks, and ensure smooth handover to Operations and Maintenance.
• Lead initiatives to improve engineering, testing, and operational best practices.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, incident follow‑up, and documentation.
• Participate in industrial‑engineering design for existing and new material‑handling systems across the global network.
• Enforce health & safety protocols and contribute to risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with proven experience in the full automation project life‑cycle (design, implementation, enhancement, support).
• Strong ability to build relationships across cross‑functional teams and capture the voice of the customer.
• Capable of leading complex system designs in ambiguous problem spaces.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with operations, engineering, and supplier partners.
