Senior Consultant, SOC 2 Assessment

About the role

Coalfire is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead SOC 2, SOC 1 and C5 assessments for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with project managers and delivery teams to evaluate security controls, improve client security posture, and produce high‑quality audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit planning, evidence collection, procedure evaluation, and client interviews with primary focus on SOC 2 assessments.
• Prepare, review, and approve detailed assessment reports for SOC 2, SOC 1 and C5 engagements.
• Manage project priorities, tasks, and hours in coordination with project managers to meet utilization targets.
• Escalate client or project issues promptly to ensure timely resolution.
• Mentor Associates and Consultants on audit methodology and technical controls.
• Continuously enhance engagement methodology and internal processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience conducting SOC 2, SOC 1 or similar compliance assessments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and cloud‑based environments.
• Ability to evaluate design and effectiveness of technology controls across business cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report delivery.
