Senior Construction Project Engineer - Ground Station Projects

About the role

BRPH, an architecture, engineering and construction firm, is hiring a Senior Construction Project Engineer to support the execution of construction projects and ensure they meet technical scope, schedule and financial targets. The role acts as an operations manager for Ground Station infrastructure worldwide (site work, foundations, concrete, utilities) that supports government and commercial satellite communications, and must follow corporate HSE and construction quality control policies. About 30% of the time is spent travelling domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction projects, from design, pre-construction and construction through to commissioning, closeout and turnover
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with Project Managers on project plans
• Interpret design specifications, oversee quality control and resolve technical issues
• Prepare and oversee technical design submittals, inspection and testing reports
• Monitor subcontractors and craft progress, review their implementation plans and manage RFIs
• Establish project baselines for cost and schedule, manage the master schedule and three-week look-ahead
• Secure permits, environmental approvals and licenses, and lead the project safety and quality program

Required profile

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of work-related experience in the construction industry with progressive responsibilities and leadership
• Experience in the built environment infrastructure, including buildings and infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Physical ability to work on a construction site, including lifting 50 pounds and operating a motor vehicle

The stated salary range for California is $100,000-$145,000; the final offer may vary with experience and location.
