Senior Cloud Operations & Security Engineer

About the role

You will help maintain and secure Azure Government and Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High environments that support critical business operations, identity services, cloud networking, and cybersecurity functions.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Azure Government and Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High services to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant cloud operations.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID identity and access services, including authentication, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
• Support cloud networking and application delivery services such as Azure Firewall, Azure DNS, Azure Front Door, and Web Application Firewall.
• Investigate and respond to security events using Microsoft Defender, perform vulnerability remediation, and assist incident response.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, automate tasks with PowerShell and Azure Playbooks, and drive continuous improvement of reliability and security.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud operations, systems administration, or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years of hands‑on Azure administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent, and certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑500, SC‑200 or Security+.
• Strong communication and collaborative problem‑solving skills; ability to participate in after‑hours support and incident response.

• Pay range $123,000 – $195,000 per year, plus potential bonus and long‑term incentives.
