Senior Civil/Structural Engineer – Renewable Power

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineer to join its Owner’s Engineering advisory team. The role supports renewable power and utility projects across the full CAPEX cycle, ensuring designs meet codes, standards, and client requirements while optimizing cost and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Receive design documents, develop a review plan, and verify applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Assess design constructability, practicality, and completeness, and confirm performance strategies.
• Perform detailed design reviews, assign approval status to each drawing, and highlight any non‑conformances that could impact schedule or cost.
• Prepare and issue review comment reports or logs to the client.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure ancillary facilities operate within specified performance envelopes.
• Identify long‑lead items, sequencing considerations, and cost‑optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of civil/structural/geotechnical engineering experience on utility‑scale renewable projects (solar, wind, battery storage, combined generation).
• Strong knowledge of relevant design and performance standards, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, and client specifications to project designs.
• Experience reviewing technical geotechnical, hydrology, and related reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills; experience with dynamic modeling software is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication, self‑motivation, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
