Senior Casualty Claims Associate

About the role

The Senior Casualty Claims Associate provides strategic claim consulting and advocacy for both internal and external stakeholders within Greystar’s real‑estate portfolio. This role drives optimal claim recovery, ensures high‑quality service delivery, and supports continuous improvement of claim processes.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate for prompt and optimal recovery on casualty claims, managing the workflow from intake to resolution.
• Gather, organize, summarize, index and maintain claim documentation from multiple sources.
• Lead and participate in mediations, coordinating with risk, legal, ownership, and property‑management teams.
• Evaluate claim data to identify program improvements and performance solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive coverage analyses and contribute to claim reporting analytics.
• Collaborate with other business segments and lines of insurance (General Liability, Environmental, Professional Lines, Construction) as needed.
• Review release agreements for third‑party claims and respond to due‑diligence requests.

Required profile

• Four‑year college degree; business‑related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in insurance programs, preferably with a focus on real‑estate casualty claims.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience managing complex claim cases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
