Senior Buyer

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities for its operations in Lake Charles, LA. The role focuses on securing high‑quality goods and services while driving cost efficiencies and supporting the company’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality and service.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and capability.
• Negotiate contract terms, delivery schedules, and pricing to achieve optimal value.
• Analyze market trends and material availability to forecast pricing and supply risks.
• Prepare requests for quotation, review supplier proposals, and finalize agreements.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders to understand material and service requirements.
• Monitor demand forecasts and ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Effective written and verbal communication with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications, especially the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently with initiative.
