Senior Business Systems Analyst

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join its Treasury Debt Management System (TDMS) team. Reporting to the Treasury Product Manager, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, engineering, and operations, ensuring high‑quality Treasury applications support critical federal programs.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including business and technical specifications.
• Analyze complex business processes and translate them into clear, logical formats.
• Develop detailed requirements artifacts such as user stories, use cases, design specs, data flows, and success criteria.
• Assist the product owner with backlog grooming, user‑story creation, defect clarification, and acceptance‑criteria definition.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, sprint reviews, refinements) and facilitate cross‑functional sessions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, validate defect remediation, and work with end‑users on resolutions or work‑arounds.
• Provide training and support to Treasury end‑users and internal application support teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience performing Business Systems Analyst activities.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills for a hybrid workforce.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and balance competing priorities.
