Senior Business Support Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Support Analyst to provide financial, operational and data‑analytics support for large‑scale engineering and construction projects. The role will partner with finance, engineering, construction and business teams to deliver budgeting, forecasting, reporting and dashboard solutions that drive informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage capital budgets and financial forecasts for project portfolios.
• Analyze financial and operational data, perform variance analysis and produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports with commentary.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, evaluate project costs and present recommendations to leadership.
• Create and maintain KPIs, interactive Power BI dashboards and visual reports for executive audiences.
• Utilize SQL and Python to query large datasets and support operational modeling and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to improve reporting processes and resolve data issues.
• Support ad‑hoc financial and strategic analyses and help enhance analytics capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, project controls, business analytics or similar roles.
• Experience supporting capital projects or infrastructure programs, preferably in utilities, energy or industrial construction.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
• Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and executive reporting solutions.
