Senior Business Development Manager

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will drive strategic growth and expand market share within the U.S. data‑center sector. This role focuses on identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, cloud and AI infrastructure clients while leveraging Bureau Veritas’ testing, inspection, certification and technical advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand data‑center market presence across the United States.
• Identify and pursue opportunities with hyperscale providers, cloud operators, colocation firms, AI infrastructure developers and enterprise owners.
• Lead pursuit efforts from initial engagement through contract negotiation and project award, meeting revenue and profitability targets.
• Establish trusted relationships with executive decision‑makers, construction leaders and procurement teams to drive account growth and cross‑selling.
• Collaborate with operations, technical experts and project managers to create customer‑focused solutions and maintain accurate sales forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of business development, sales or strategic account management experience, with at least 5 years in data‑center or mission‑critical infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of developing new business and managing large strategic accounts in the power industry.
• Existing relationships within the data‑center ecosystem are strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with sales forecasting tools.
