Senior Benefits Analyst – Human Resources

About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to join the People, Culture & Wellness Department. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will support the design, administration, and continuous improvement of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs across the System.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis to measure plan performance, evaluate design changes, assess financial and participant impacts, and identify opportunities for efficiency, employee experience, and compliance.
- Respond to inquiries—including sensitive or escalated matters—from vendors, internal partners, and plan participants.
- Lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with System strategies.
- Research and synthesize industry best practices, regulatory developments, and emerging trends to inform benefit program enhancements.
- Develop and deliver presentations, training, and communications for Reserve Bank partners and participants.
- Serve as primary liaison to third‑party administrators, insurers, and service providers, overseeing day‑to‑day service delivery and vendor performance management.
- Act as backup point of contact for leave management activities and maintain functional knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and trustworthiness when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Communicates clearly, confidently, and professionally with partners at all organizational levels, including senior leaders, external vendors, and System colleagues.
- Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate program performance, conduct benchmarking, identify trends, and support strategic decision‑making.
