Senior Avionics Systems and Flight Test Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems and Flight Test Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and testing of complete air‑vehicle avionics systems. The role is based onsite in Mineral Wells, TX and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate customer product requirements and create conceptual designs and architectures.
• Analyze project proposals for feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
• Perform system and software integration activities and verify avionics functionality.
• Develop or modify testing applications to support integration and formal flight tests.
• Lead OASIS and EICAS configuration development in line with FAA, human‑factor, and certification standards.
• Support flight testing, system modeling, performance analysis, and certification projects (TSO, STC).
• Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to junior engineers and project teams.
• Advise management on advanced engineering applications and contribute to software for avionics and flight‑control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum five years of relevant avionics engineering experience.
