Senior Associate, Deep & Dark Web Intelligence

About the role

Prescient is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Deep & Dark Web Intelligence team. You will leverage open‑source and proprietary tools to collect, assess, and analyse data from both open and closed parts of the Deep and Dark Web, supporting threat assessments, breach investigations and other intelligence projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth Dark Web investigations and assessments for corporate and individual subjects.
• Monitor the Deep and Dark Web using a mix of in‑house and third‑party tools.
• Identify new Dark Web sources for collection and analysis.
• Engage with threat actors to obtain non‑public datasets.
• Produce detailed and summary reports that are understandable by non‑technical clients.
• Assist with online threat attribution and other OSINT‑focused investigations.
• Support Python‑based data processing when qualified.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of relevant experience in public or private sector.
• Proven experience with OSINT‑focused investigations.
• Hands‑on experience operating undercover on social media, Dark Web markets, forums and messaging platforms.
• Ability to navigate Dark Web sources, manage online personas and use collection tools to uncover actionable intelligence.
• Strong understanding of cyber concepts to provide context for findings.
• Excellent writing, research, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
