Senior Architect - High-End Private Residential

About the role

An established, design-led architecture practice is seeking a Senior Architect to help grow and shape its presence in Los Angeles. It is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected studio at an early stage of its West Coast expansion, rather than entering an established office structure. The role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership of their work and wants to help build a studio over the long term.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of residential projects, working directly with the firm's leadership team
• Help establish systems, culture and processes as the Los Angeles operation grows
• Take on increasing leadership responsibilities as the office develops, including mentoring staff, managing projects and contributing to strategic growth
• Work on custom, high-end residential projects with a collaborative and experienced team

Required profile

• Licensed Architect preferred
• Experience leading projects through all phases
• Residential experience, particularly custom or high-end residential projects
• Strong client-facing and communication abilities
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a wider team
• Interest in helping shape and grow a studio environment

Required skills

• Revit proficiency required
• Strong design sensibility with excellent technical skills

What we offer

• A hybrid working model combining remote work, project site visits and regular time with colleagues in Los Angeles and the established studio
• Opportunity to be part of a long-term studio expansion with a clear pathway toward leadership
• High level of autonomy and influence, working alongside principals and senior leadership
• A collaborative, design-focused culture
