Senior Application Engineer

About the role

The Senior Application Engineer is a senior technical resource within Intelligent Manufacturing’s SigmaNEST business unit. You will act as the primary escalation point for complex software issues, bridging Support, Sales and Development while mentoring the support team. The role also drives AI‑based process improvements to boost team productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or unresolved SigmaNEST support tickets.
• Diagnose advanced software, G‑code, and CAD/CAM issues beyond first‑line troubleshooting.
• Own escalated cases through resolution, coordinating with product teams for fixes or work‑arounds.
• Mentor and coach support agents on troubleshooting techniques, product knowledge and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues, drive root‑cause fixes and create documentation to reduce repeat escalations.
• Act as technical liaison between Sales and Support for pre‑sales questions, scoping and competitive positioning.
• Support Sales with technical product demonstrations and competitive briefings.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with deep expertise in SigmaNEST, CAD/CAM and G‑code.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers, sales teams and developers.
• Proven ability to mentor junior support staff and raise the technical bar of the team.
• Experience championing AI‑driven tools and process improvements.
