Senior A&P Mechanic

About the role

PHI Health is seeking an experienced A&P‑licensed mechanic to join its air‑ambulance fleet in Palestine, TX. You will ensure that helicopters and other aircraft are maintained to the highest safety standards, supporting life‑saving missions across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, inspections, and repairs on airframes and powerplants to maintain airworthiness.
• Report unusual conditions to the Lead Mechanic and coordinate schedule or resource adjustments.
• Manage maintenance of assigned aircraft at field bases, including stock level reviews and spare part requisition.
• Prepare and certify maintenance logs, reports, and requisitions in compliance with FAA, manufacturer, and PHI Health requirements.
• Enter work packages, status sheets, and removal/install data into RAMCO.
• Maintain parts inventory, recommend level changes, and ensure special tools are calibrated on schedule.
• Safeguard company assets and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic, preferably on helicopters.
• Ability to pass a pre‑placement physical, drug screening, and background check.
• Basic communication skills and proficiency with computer applications.
