Senior Android Software Engineer - Platform

About the role

As an Android Platform Engineer on the Vehicle OS team, you will lead the creation of a universal software foundation that enables automakers to deliver next‑generation vehicle intelligence at scale. You will work across application, middleware, and hardware layers, collaborating with diverse engineering groups to ensure seamless integration and rapid deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android/Android Automotive OS middleware systems from the front‑end down to the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
• Work across the full stack to create new products, features, and development tools.
• Design efficient, effective solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges.
• Ship complex software in fast‑paced environments alongside infrastructure, automotive, graphics, and startup‑veteran engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in Android (or iOS) mobile app development.
• Proficiency in C++ and Java programming languages.
• Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms.
