Senior Analyst, AMP (Rotational Leadership Program)

About the role

The Home Depot is recruiting for its Assurance and Advisory Management Program (AMP), a two-year rotational leadership development program for early-career professionals. As an internal consultant, the analyst evaluates risks and identifies ways to improve operations, working on high-visibility internal audit and process improvement assignments across Operations, Technology, Supply Chain, Merchandising and Finance. The program offers mentorship from senior leaders and positions graduates for rapid advancement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned segments of projects: understand objectives, identify resources, meet timelines, communicate results and present deliverables.
• Communicate project scope, strategy, status and results to senior management.
• Design data collection plans, gather and analyze operational, financial and industry data, look for trends and exceptions, and build cost/benefit analyses and financial models with limited supervision.
• Use statistical tools to graphically display results and draw sound conclusions.
• Help management develop strategies for lasting change, remove barriers and implement improvements.
• Map core and support processes, identify risks and control effectiveness, and propose sustainable fixes.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities typically gained through a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Preferred: prior experience in engineering, accounting, business, auditing or consulting firms; audit or process improvement experience; project management experience; ability to communicate with executive management; demonstrated leadership attributes.
• Typical reporting line to a manager, with up to 0 direct reports; overnight travel under 5% of the time; mostly sedentary work in an indoor setting.
