Senior Aircraft Technician – Mechanical (New Helicopter Completions)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) to join the New Helicopter Completions (NHC) team in Columbus, Mississippi. You will support the assembly, inspection, and delivery of next‑generation helicopters, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed mechanical inspection, assembly, installation, repair, and replacement of aircraft components and systems.
• Conduct functional and operational checks on complete helicopter systems to verify proper performance.
• Diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and execute corrective actions on aircraft structures and mechanical subsystems.
• Support new helicopter completions, STC development, training fleet maintenance, and demonstration aircraft.
• Document work performed in accordance with Airbus quality and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aircraft mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably on helicopters such as the UH‑72A Lakota or H‑125.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic, and propulsion components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
