Senior Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician – New Helicopter Completions

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Aircraft Sheetmetal Technician to join the New Helicopter Completions (NHC) team in Columbus, Mississippi. You will work on the assembly, installation and inspection of sheet‑metal components for UH‑72A Lakota and H‑125 helicopters.

Key responsibilities

• Read detailed plans and diagrams, inspect and measure parts before assembly to ensure they are defect‑free and correctly sized.
• Install sheet‑metal parts and assemblies, guaranteeing structural integrity and proper system operation.
• Fit and assemble skins, frames and other components, performing drilling, fitting and riveting of sub‑assemblies.
• Conduct final inspections and verify that installations meet Airbus quality standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aircraft sheet‑metal fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to work accurately with technical drawings and measurement tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality and productivity in a manufacturing environment.
