Senior Aircraft Integration Engineer

About the role

JetZero is seeking a Senior Aircraft Integration Engineer to lead on‑site integration of systems and subsystems for its blended‑wing body demonstrator at the Mojave Air and Space Port. The role works closely with Scaled Composites and JetZero’s engineering teams to translate design intent into build instructions and ensure high‑quality assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine work instructions for integrating systems into the demonstrator airframe.
• Provide on‑site adjudication of deviations from technical specifications in coordination with the Demonstrator Chief Engineer.
• Coordinate weekly tasking with Scaled Composites and manage JetZero’s on‑site team execution.
• Oversee materials procurement, logistics, and usage to maintain efficient operations.
• Collaborate with JetZero’s and Scaled’s engineering teams on integration challenges.
• Assist in defining processes, procedures, and documentation for aircraft integration.
• Prepare and deliver weekly status reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing and/or R&D.
• Strong background in safety and quality management.
• Proven ability to operate in fast‑moving development programs with evolving processes.
• Experience with prototyping and experimental testing is desired.
• Hands‑on attitude with a focus on practical problem solving.
