Senior AI/Computer Vision Engineer

About the role

Pano AI is seeking a Senior AI/Computer Vision Engineer to help tackle the growing wildfire crisis using cutting‑edge AI and IoT technologies. You will join a hybrid‑remote team focused on delivering real‑time wildfire detection and intelligence to fire agencies, utilities, insurers, and private landowners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI and computer‑vision algorithms that process data from ultra‑high‑definition 360° cameras and satellite imagery.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and data‑science teams to integrate models into Pano AI’s real‑time monitoring platform.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of detection accuracy, latency, and scalability across millions of acres.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and support field deployments as needed.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with a proven track record in AI and computer‑vision research or product development.
• Passion for applying technology to climate‑related challenges, especially wildfire mitigation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid‑remote environment.
