Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical, detail‑oriented Senior Accounting Manager to join a fast‑growing plumbing and home‑service company in the United States. This remote, full‑time position will own the month‑end close process across multiple entities and help build a private‑equity‑ready accounting infrastructure as the business scales from $20M to $50M in revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the month‑end close for several business units, preparing accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Oversee profit & loss reporting, variance analysis, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Perform and review bank, credit‑card and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Supervise accounts‑receivable processes and analyze multi‑location payroll reports.
• Execute audit procedures, support internal and external audits, and test internal controls.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with U.S. accounting practices and multi‑entity accounting.
• Proven track record in month‑end close, financial reporting and audit support.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate variances and improve processes.
• Experience in a high‑growth environment, preferably within plumbing, home services or similar sectors.
