Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a client in Plainview, NY. The role focuses on reviewing revenues and expenses, ensuring accurate general ledger postings, and supporting balance‑sheet and P&L schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Review revenues and expenses for accuracy and examine general ledger postings and rent rolls.
• Coordinate with receivable/payable personnel to ensure timely posting of all transactions.
• Prepare supporting schedules for balance‑sheet and profit & loss accounts.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of public or private accounting experience; residential real estate exposure preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, strong problem‑solving abilities and work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
