Senior Accountant

About the role

This Senior Accountant position supports a global manufacturing organization with a blend of general accounting, fixed‑asset management, and indirect tax responsibilities. The role will primarily focus on month‑end close while also handling sales & use tax activities and contributing to audit and compliance efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close by preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and calculate depreciation schedules.
• Assist with financial audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory filings.
• Manage sales & use tax processes, including rate setup, filings, reconciliations, and coordination with third‑party providers.
• Participate in special projects and research related to state compliance and accounting issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (advanced education a plus).
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting systems.
• Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with sales‑use tax or fixed‑asset accounting is preferred.
