Senior Accountant

About the role

ETAP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Irvine, CA. The role supports month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting and system initiatives while collaborating with global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Record and post journal entries in the Sage 100 ERP system.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, meeting timelines and reporting requirements.
• Perform financial analysis, investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Zuora billing and financial data.
• Collaborate with U.S. and cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes, reconciliations and testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including reconciliations, journal entries and close processes.
• Experience supporting financial audits.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with global teams.

Required skills

• Sage 100 ERP (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• GAAP knowledge.
• Zuora or subscription‑based billing platforms.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience.
