About the role

The Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities Engineer will support the operation and maintenance of cleanroom and fabrication equipment at the University of Arkansas' semiconductor research labs. This fixed‑term position is part of a grant‑funded project focused on advancing semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate semiconductor fabrication tools and cleanroom infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and cleanroom protocols.
• Collaborate with researchers and graduate students to optimize process flows.
• Document equipment performance, maintenance activities, and process changes.
• Assist in training lab personnel on proper equipment use.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical, Materials, Chemical).
• Experience working in a semiconductor or micro‑fabrication environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented research setting.
