Semiconductor Characterization Lab Engineer

About the role

Join Bosch's expanding semiconductor business as a Semiconductor Characterization Lab Engineer. You will work in a high‑voltage laboratory in Roseville, supporting the development and testing of silicon carbide (SiC) devices that will be produced on 200‑mm wafers starting in 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical characterization measurements on SiC semiconductor devices.
• Serve as the primary safety responsible for the high‑voltage testing environment.
• Commission, debug, and troubleshoot test benches and related hardware for high‑voltage and high‑current testing.
• Manage calibration schedules and inventory to ensure equipment uptime and accuracy.
• Coordinate sample logistics, including shipping, communication with external sample shops, and traceability.
• Execute soldering, PCB rework, repairs, and component replacement as needed.
• Support continuous‑improvement activities within the lab team.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in an electronics or power‑engineering laboratory environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and high‑voltage safety practices.
