Security Officer – Night Shift

About the role

The Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, students, and visitors across the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus. This position primarily covers night‑shift duties, ensuring continuous protection of facilities, assets, and people.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas, monitor security equipment, and respond to alarms or incidents.
• Enforce campus policies, access‑control procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Document incidents, prepare reports, and coordinate with local law‑enforcement when required.
• Assist with crowd management, visitor screening, and escort services.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unlawful activity and provide assistance to campus community members.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security‑related training preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
