Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer will join the Security Department at North Shore Preserve, a Discovery Land Company location in Kaua’i, Hawaii. The role focuses on protecting members, guests, employees, and company assets while delivering a high level of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide concierge‑level protection for high‑net‑worth members, guests, and prospects.
• Secure people, facilities, and property using access control systems and logs.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, coordinate with internal security leadership and external emergency services, and deliver basic medical assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular field audits, identify safety hazards, and report findings to management.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation using company computer systems.
• Communicate with the Director of Security and other departments, ensuring all correspondence is answered within four hours unless extenuating circumstances exist.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and active Hawaii Guard Card.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal communication.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.

Required skills

• Access control system operation.
• Incident reporting software proficiency.
