About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Security Officer to join its Public Safety professional staff. This position supports the safety and security of the campus community, ensuring a secure environment for patients, staff, students, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide security presence on campus facilities and grounds.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Enforce university policies, regulations, and applicable laws.
• Assist visitors, patients, and employees with security‑related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student employees and graduate assistants).
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
