Security Engineer

About the role

We are building Sazabi, an AI‑native observability platform that lets engineering teams ask natural‑language questions about their production systems and get answers 10× faster. As a Security Engineer you will shape security across the entire stack—infra, application, data, and AI components—to keep the platform safe and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for infrastructure, applications, data stores, and AI systems.
• Own authentication, authorization, and tenant isolation from first principles.
• Build secure‑by‑default pipelines for log ingestion, storage, and querying.
• Identify and mitigate AI‑specific risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and model misuse.
• Lead incident response and post‑mortems for security‑related events.
• Establish security practices that maintain engineering velocity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into daily development.

Required profile

• Strong experience in application and/or infrastructure security at a modern SaaS company.
• Deep knowledge of common vulnerabilities (OWASP, authentication flaws, data exfiltration, etc.).
• Experience securing distributed systems and APIs.
• Comfort working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments without predefined processes.
• Pragmatic mindset: knows when to push hard on security versus unblocking shipping.
• Bonus: experience with AI/LLM security, observability systems, or developer tools.
