Security Architect / Virtual CISO

About the role

Arctiq is seeking a Security Architect / Virtual CISO to provide both hands‑on security architecture design and executive‑level advisory services for a portfolio of clients. The role blends deep technical expertise with strategic guidance, helping organisations define security roadmaps, manage risk, and achieve compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the virtual Chief Information Security Officer for multiple client accounts, delivering security strategies, roadmaps and risk registers aligned with business goals.
• Lead executive and board‑level presentations, translating technical risks into business impact.
• Own and support compliance programmes such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS and NIST CSF, including gap assessments, remediation planning and audit support.
• Conduct enterprise security risk assessments, maintain risk registers and prioritize findings.
• Provide incident response leadership during security events, coordinating internal and external resources.
• Design secure network, cloud, application and identity architectures across diverse industries and maturity levels.
• Support pre‑sales activities by scoping vCISO engagements, security assessments and proposal development.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering security advisory or CISO‑type services to enterprise clients.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and board members.
• Hands‑on expertise in designing secure architectures for network, cloud, application and identity environments.
• Track record of managing compliance programmes and leading incident response efforts.
