Security Analyst I

About the role

Join CorVel’s Information Security team as an entry‑level Security Analyst. You will help protect company data, support audit activities, and provide assurance to customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with third‑party risk management, including vendor security assessments and documentation review.
• Support responses to customer security questionnaires and assurance material requests.
• Help prepare and coordinate SOC, HITRUST, and other regulatory or customer audits.
• Manage and prioritize the information security ticket queue.
• Collect, organize, and track audit evidence and security artifacts.
• Perform basic risk and control analysis under supervision.
• Support ongoing security and compliance initiatives as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• College degree.
• 1‑3 years of experience in information security, IT, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with vendor risk management processes.
• Experience with audit support activities.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, SOC, or HITRUST.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+ (preferred).
