Security Access & Facilities Operations Manager

About the role

The Security Access & Facilities Operations Manager reports to the Assistant Director for Facilities Operations and serves as the primary point of contact for all residential life physical security programs across approximately 3.2 million square feet of housing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee security access control and key management for all residential facilities.
• Manage procurement and inventory of supplies and equipment valued at over $1 million annually.
• Administer work orders, coordinate responses to student maintenance requests, and ensure timely service delivery.
• Collaborate with in‑house locksmiths, the IT team, and external vendors to prioritize requests, conduct audits, and perform preventative maintenance on electronic access systems.
• Maintain confidential student data and physical security information in compliance with university policies.
• Document hardware, conduct key audits, and support customer service functions within CMMS platforms.
• Monitor vendor contracts and ensure adherence to university procurement procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in security access control and facilities operations within a large residential environment.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships, procurement processes, and inventory valued at high dollar amounts.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate work orders, service requests, and cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements for student data and physical security information.
